Sources of the information

Most of the contacts initially came from the Aircrew Association's Squadron Association details (issued Autumn 1998) [AA Aut 98] and from the list formerly on Rob Davis's Bomber Command site [WRD].

It has been updated by tracking the following sources, not all of which still exist: -

• Aircrew Association's INTERCOM [INT PERIOD YY]
• Aircrew Association's Listing Autumn 2000 [AA Aut 00], the last listing from the ACA
• Air Force Association of Canada [AFAC MMYY]
• Bomber Command Association's Newsletter [BCA MMYY] up to issue 41 of the BCA Newsletter
• RAFA's Air Mail [AM PERIOD YY]
• RAF News - [RAFN MMYY]
• FlyPast [FP MMYY]

Increasingly, Associations are coming directly to the Register with updates - these are annotated [FWH MMYY]. In many cases discrepancies or errors in published information have been resolved by telephone or email.
